ICT

ICT Technological skills are increasingly important for the advancement in education, work and leisure. Opportunities will be provided in the school to integrate information and communication technologies into the teaching and learning process. Children will be provided with opportunities to use modern technology to enhance their learning in all subjects in line with the curriculum.

Where it is appropriate, parents should encourage children to use the Internet,
e-mail, word-processing and other computer programmes to add to the knowledge and skills they acquire in school.

Children using the Internet in school will only do so with permission and supervision from a teacher.

We have updated our WiFi networks to ensure it is at the highest possible standard. A new interactive smart screen has been installed in the Fifth and Sixth Class classroom and we hope to phase these into all of the classrooms in the coming years.

IPads play a very important role in our school. We invested in sixteen new IPads for the students to use last year and they are regularly used for all different types of learning initiatives in St. Mary's.

Every classroom has an Interactive Whiteboard to assist in the learning process.
